Casey Adams

After earning his Bachelor's degree in Journalism and a Minor in International Development from Brigham Young University in 2013, Casey became a staff reporter and digital news producer for The Daily Herald in Provo, Utah where he covered fine arts and community news. He won “2013 Best General News Story” from the Utah Press Association for his story on local elections and voter participation. He has completed several international academic experiences including a political economy program hosted at Hong Kong University, an intensive institute on political theory at Charles University in Prague, Czech Republic and has studied political journalism through George Mason University while completing an academic internship in Washington D.C.

Casey is a member of The National Society of Collegiate Scholars, the Honor Society for International Studies (Sigma Iota Rho, University of Utah Chapter) and most recently became a Foreign Language and Area Studies Fellow in May 2019, a program funded by the U.S. Department of Education.

Casey has ambitions to specialize in education systems within Southeast Asia and in developing youth leadership throughout the region. He served as a primary school teacher in Jiangsu Province, China for five months in 2016, and recently returned from volunteering in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam after serving more than nine months as an English teacher for disadvantaged children and private institutions.
